Extract vs. Split
The Extract tool creates one new PDF containing only the pages you specify. The Split tool creates multiple output files from a single source. Use Extract when you need a single trimmed PDF, and Split when you need each part as a separate file.

1-3, 5, 7-9 - Duplicates across ranges are automatically removed
Output is a single PDF
All selected pages are combined into one output PDF and downloaded immediately. The pages appear in ascending page-number order from the original document.
