Files are merged using pdf-lib entirely in your browser. Pages and content are preserved exactly — no rasterization. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.

How PDF merging works

This tool uses pdf-lib to copy pages from each input PDF directly into a new output document at the raw stream level. This means the merged PDF preserves all original text, vector graphics, images, fonts, and hyperlinks exactly — without any quality loss or rasterization.

Reordering files

After adding your files, you can drag and drop them in the file list to change the order. The numbers on the left show the merge order — the output PDF will contain all pages from file 1, then all pages from file 2, and so on.

Limitations

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before merging. PDFs with unusual encryption or non-standard structure may fail to load. Very large files (hundreds of MB) may be slow due to in-browser memory constraints.
