What is BMI?
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a numerical value calculated from your weight and height. BMI Formula
Metric: BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height² (m²)
Imperial: BMI = 703 × weight (lbs) ÷ height² (in²)

Limitations of BMI
BMI is a useful screening tool, but it has important limitations. It does not directly measure body fat and may over- or under-estimate fat in athletes, older adults, or people with high muscle mass.
